Time-lapsing in Florida

I had the chance to spend one week in Florida this summer, the view on the sea was just stunning. Even more impressive were the lighthing during the night. So I made a lot of time lapses… believe it or not most of the video you see here is done by night. The pictures are taken with up to 30 seconds of exposure time:

Those are the first time-lapses I process with LRTimelapse It did allow me to correct the light variations during sunrise by example.

Siggraph 2014 – Modern Video Processor

I enjoyed this installation at Siggraph because it’s an interesting attempt at making software interfaces more physical. The idea is that each box is a video effect and you can reconfigure the video processing chain by changing the order of boxes. It was really fun to unplug re plug the boxes.

Here is a quick movie I did

ArKaos at Prolight and Sound Frankfurt 2014

ArKaos at Prolight and sound 2014.

Here is a video of our presentations during the show.

Many new things were introduced:

MediaMaster 4.0 with a new extended fixture and a revamped licensing system adding the support of license dongles.

Our new servers, the stadium and studio with a brand new case having a nice front touchscreen.

And finally the first new public display of LEDMaster, a new solution to do all in one LED lighting from a simple and fun interface.

Here is a video to recap this:

RIP Vincent Delcorde / Vortex 1962-2014

Here is a picture we took when we released our first split LP, it’s an LP we shared with another band called “No Debt”

RIP Vincent…

Time-lapsing in Tokyo

Tokyo is a fascinating place. I go there at least once a year… I am lucky. This time I could walk at night and spend a few hours taking time-lapses.

For this video I developed a few scripts to allow me to zoom and pan into a sequence.

During the editing I created the music with a set of samples based on Tokyo atmospheres. Here is the result:
